Senior Application Developer-Architect

Work with client personnel to define web services in connection with a project to customize an asset management system (the Product). The Product will interface with the customer’s other systems through an Enterprise Service Bus (ESB) that will expose the Product’s services. The ESB will connect to the customer’s integration platform that will expose the services of their other systems. The senior developer-architect will participate in workshops with the customer to understand the requirements of the interfacing systems and to communicate the requirements of the Product for services. (This person will have access to Product functional and technical experts in the US and UK.)

The ideal candidate will be a senior developer, designer, or architect with experience in service definition and application integration. The ability to rapidly understand the business context of these integrations and communicate with both business users and technologists is also essential. An understanding of MQ Series, SOA, web services and their standards (e.g. XML, XSD, WS-I Basic Profile and domain standards) would also be useful. Asset finance and contract management is a plus.
