Carries out product development projects leading to commercializable products in the agricultural formulations market. These projects may be self-initiated and approved by our business partners or defined through direct interaction with customers. The candidate designs and carries out experimental programs, usually with the assistance of one or more technicians, in order to prepare prototypes for customer evaluation. To do this effectively, the candidate draws upon available resources such as both open and internal literature, other in-house experts, technically skilled persons in other organizations and geographies within BASF. Sometimes, external expertise (universities, consultants, etc.) will also contribute to development of the solution. The candidate carries out such experimental programs with high attention to safety, working efficiently and effectively through use of experimental design and formulation optimization.
